Insignia

Insignia

Insignia is a computer controlled system: digital treatment planning is being combined with specially customized brackets and wires, adapted to your personal dental anatomy. The process is simple. After an initial study, your dentist makes a scan of the teeth for the Insignia Smile Design laboratory. The advanced imaging software creates a three-dimensional view of your teeth. After that, your bracket (s) and wires are manufactured to measure.

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

All facets are precisely calculated. As a result, elements are moved optimally, fewer visits to the practice are necessary and the wearing comfort is exceptional. Because the treatment is 100% individually designed, patients often need to wear the brackets shorter than in ‘normal’ bracket treatments.

QUICK, EASY HANDLING

You can already see the final results before the treatment begins. By using the 3D view of the exact position of your teeth, Insignia calculates the optimum orthodontic treatment. You can see precisely the right arch and width of the best smile that is specially adapted to your facial features. Contrary to the ready-to-use brackets and wires, an Insignia treatment plan makes an accurate detailing possible. This ensures a fast, accurate and predictable result.

Straight teeth in 6 months

Would you like straight teeth but do not want to wear braces for 2 to 3 years? Yes you can! With our accelerated orthodontic treatment you will have straight teeth in 6-8 months. Quickly and comfortable.

In the accelerated orthodontic treatment (PAOO, Periodontally Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics) we work with scientifically proven techniques. Here, the traditional orthodontics treatment is combined with a treatment periodontics. With a small surgical orthodontic treatment, the process can be five times faster. In addition to speed, we believe it is important that the treatment as comfortable as possible. We highly keep in account your questions and wishes.

Solid results

Research has shown that the results of the accelerated orthodontic treatment are just as solid as the conventional orthodontic treatment.

How does it work?

The treatment starts with the placing of brackets. After this, during a minor surgical procedure, artificial bone is placed under the gum line. With this added artificial bone, the jawbone is highly active in the first weeks after placement. As a result, there is more motion speed for your teeth to move into the planned position in a shorter time, with the aid of the bracket. After only three months your teeth are straight. The bone must still become hard and strong enough to keep the teeth in place. This also takes about three months. At the end of the bracket treatment you get a retainer to maintain the beautiful result.

* an incision in the gum is created.

* small pieces of artificial bone are slid under the gums (the higher the need to move the teeth, the more artificial bone is placed).

* The gum is then closed with small stitches (gum heals quickly, the stitches may fall out after a week).

* With the aid of the bracket, the teeth move rapidly in the direction of the newly inserted bone.

Method In the accelerated orthodontic treatment, we work according to a strict treatment protocol. We keep a close watch during the treatment process, so we can adjust quickly when needed.

Once you have decided that this treatment can be exercised by your dentist, the following happens:

* Placing the brackets on the teeth of the upper and lower jaw

* After 1 week, a check to make sure all brackets and locked in the right position

* Surgical intervention by the dentist

* The first couple of weeks there is a weekly check and (X-ray) pictures are regularly taken

* After about 3 months the teeth are straight next to each other

* After this waiting for stability 3 months

* After a total of 6-8 months, the brackets can be removed and a retainer is placed for a permanent straight and radiant smile!
